1. Drink Plenty of Water

Caffeine can be the worst beverage to cause jet lag. Studies show Caffeine resets the clock by delaying the rise in melatonin levels, the body’s chief sleep hormone causing sleep problems. Avoid Alcohol and other carbonated beverages during your journey.

3. Exercise

Exercise can help to ease the Jet lag symptoms by releasing endorphins. Research Suggests that adding movements to your body allows it to readjust to the new surroundings. During your flight, Walk-in between and stretch your body to ease the effects of jetlag.

4. Take Melatonin Supplements

Melatonin supplements are the synthetic form of natural melatonin that occurs in the brain, which helps you to sleep effortlessly. Melatonin dosage and timing recommendations differ from person to person. Before using it, please consult your doctor about their recommendations. Take melatonin after you arrive at your destination if you choose to use it for jet lag.

5. Make use of Sleeping aids.

A person should strive to make their sleeping environment as comfortable as possible.

  • Turning off any screens to help create a dark environment
  • Maintaining a cool room temperature
  • Wearing earplugs to help block out noise.
